L’économie sénégalaise enregistre des pertes de compétitivité-prix au mois de juillet

Selon la Direction de la prévision et des études économiques(Dpee) , l’économie sénégalaise a enregistré au mois de juillet 2022 des pertes de compétitivité-prix évaluées à 2,4%, en variation mensuelle.

La même source souligne que cette situation résulte du différentiel d’inflation défavorable (+3,4%) par rapport aux pays partenaires, dans un contexte de dépréciation de la monnaie locale (-0,9%) relativement à la devise de ces derniers.

Face aux pays partenaires membres de l’UEMOA et de la zone Euro, les pertes de compétitivité sont ressorties respectivement à 2,8% et 3,8%, en liaison avec le différentiel d’inflation défavorable. Comparativement au mois de juillet 2021, la compétitivité-prix de l’économie sénégalaise s’est améliorée de 2,3%, résultant de la dépréciation de la monnaie locale par rapport à la devise des pays partenaires (-3,8%), amoindrie par le différentiel d’inflation défavorable (+0,5%).
